Why we choose Young Living Essential Oils
I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils from a gorgeous local friend here in Nelson Bay area, near our store Wear Kids Play in Salamander Bay.
I was asking about issues for her children and their sleep, or lack thereof like one of my boys.
She spoke about the relaxing essential oils she was using to assist with getting her kids to sleep at night and even keep them more focused and calm during the day.
So I was very intrigued! These sounded fantastic.
I looked around at the couple of companies I had heard about who sell essential oils and did my research.
Many are set up as network marketing companies which I am happy to use myself and be a part of. I think all forms of direct selling used well are fantastic. After all I have a retail business and really we are in the same game in a way!
One of my customers was a Young Living member and I was lucky enough to be invited to attend an information night at a ladies house to check the oils out.
The first thing I loved was that I was welcomed into a strangers house with people I didn't know but they were all so welcoming and helpful and I love it when you find women that build each other up and support one another in their chosen path.
I could not resist joining up as a Young Living member, it made sense for me as I could see myself buying a few oils and the wholesale pricing was where I prefer to sit as part of my business.
You can join up if you like or you can just buy oils at retail pricing. There is no pressure which I think is great. We are all at different parts of our own journey so being able to do what suits you is best for me.
There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to buy, join or even make a business of it. It was up to me so I wanted to be a part of that tribe that have the oils because they love them.
My other best feel about Young Living is that they have complete control over their oils via their seed to seal process. Young Living is is the only essential oil company that owns their own farms or partners with farms that are willing to live up to their standards for growing, harvesting and distilling.
I really care about the quality of the products I put on my family's skin. I wanted a product that was independently tested after their own rigorous testing. I also wanted to make sure that they did not own the testing companies themselves as some of the other companies do when you did a bit deeper.
The Young Living Seed to Seal Standard make the quality really stand out from the rest. Because synthetics, contaminants, cheap fillers and unethical production practices should be the norm for any product in your family. life.
Young Living Executive Vice President of Operations Lauren Walker guides us through the process of sourcing products from carefully vetted suppliers and testing them extensively.
Young Living distill using an exclusive distilling technique which yields exceptional quality essential oils and that means the oils are not just available anywhere.
Other companies use oils from outside sources, which means the control over the full process from the ground up is out of their hands. Some even use weird terminally to try to say their oils are certified. One such network marketing company actually use a trademark to say they are certified pure therapeutic - this is simply a trademark name like Lego and really at the end of the day it is not a certification from any governing body. They are just a company that rebottles other peoples oils with their own label on them.
Young Living has been around for over 20 years, they must be doing something right! In this day and age with businesses able to start up and pop up everywhere with no regulatory requirements then the test of time wins over for me.
Young Living has a range of single oils, exclusive to their own company. They also have the largest number of blends and single oils plus a huge range of other complimentary products including beauty, cleaning and so much more.
